Citytrip in Antwerp

Hotels and Accomodation in Antwerp

Antwerp or “Antwerpen” in dutch,… Everybody knows this city as one of the larger ports of Europe and even more important the world’s leading diamond center. But is that really all Antwerp has to offer? Of course not, Antwerp offers a lot more than harbour and diamonds. Antwerp is a cultural metropole who still has feelings with its medieval roots and the entire city expresses its rich past and its bright future.

Antwerp is situated on the border with the Netherlands approximately 50 km away from Brussels, the European Capital, and 70 km away from Bruges, the most medieval city in the world, which makes it quite interesting to visit all three places during the same holiday.

Some things in Antwerp have to be visited if you ever have the chance:

  • The central trainstation: it is really unique in Europe
  • ‘t Elzenveld: A historic hospital
  • The famous city hall: dates of the middle-ages
  • House of Rubens: the house of the famous flemish painter
There is another not so well known beautiful thing to do in Antwerp and that is visiting the harbour and Schelde by boat.

If you are looking for accomodation in Antwerp. Rest asured, there are a lot of hotels in Antwerp’s city center. Most of them are quite inexpensive (mostly during the weekend) and offer really good service and quality. Although it is difficult to point a few of the hotels who are definitely worth visiting we tried to show a few which we would prefer.

Gastronomically Antwerp has a lot to offer aswell. This city is as rich on restaurants as it is on boats.

Have a pleasant trip to Antwerp
